HAMMERSLY Mrs. Eula Rainville of Tiller received word o( the death ol her niece, Mrs. Dorothy May Bochart, former local resident whose home was Ridgefield wash, funeral services were held in Vancouver, Wash., Dec Si- Daughter of pioneer settlers Mr. and Mrs. Lea Perdue, Mrs Bochart was born May 21 1900, at what is now Milo, community formerly known as Perdue and named for her lath er. She attended school at Per due and later at Days Creek She had lived at Ridgefield for a number of years. She is sur vived by four sons all living in the vicinity of Ridgefield. Her husband died several years ago, Mrs. Bochart visited relatives and friends in the Tiller area last August. Mike Oxborrow of Crescent started work last Monday as business management assistant in the office of the South Ump qua Ranger District at the Til' ler Ranger Station. He receive ea a degree in Business aamin Istration from Oregon State Uni vcrsity in June, 1962. He is shar . ing a cottage on the station , , grounds with George L. Wolf, forester on the South Umpqua District. Ranger and Mrs. Dale Robin , son and three sons of Solduck Ranger Station at Forks, Wash , " were recent overnight guests ol Mr. and Mrs. Ira B. Poole. They were en route home after a California vacation. The Robin sons formerly resided at Tiller When he was a forester here in - the late 1950's. The Dclaney's returned homo by bus, Mrs. Frank Kinnan car ed for the Dclnncy children while their parents were gone. Methodist Women. Meat ; The Women's Society of Chris afternoon at the Camas Valley Methodist Church with 12 wom en present. Mrs. Winnie Brown led the Worship and Mrs, Guy Moore gavo the lesson "The Ma -,. luring Church , in Southorn Asia." On Friday, the women host ed and served a luncheon to a district planning committee. Present were six district offi cers Including Mrs. Stevo Ho- mane, president, Springfield Mrs. Claude Miller, secretary nf promotions, Eugene; Mrs. D. W. Burton, secretary of spir itual life, Eugene; Mrs. Knrl liummel, secretary of missions, Yoncalla; Mrs. Kay Rice, re cording secretary, Coqulllc; Mrs. L. B. Pierce, vice presi dent, and her sister-in-law, Mrs, Ann Ruth Pierce, a guest, both from Mcdford. The group made plans for the district and sub district meetings to be held in the spring. E. Ott Jr. Mrs. Hayden is the former Trudi Ott. They made the trip here by plane, with Hayden return- home after the weekend. Mrs. Hayden and baby remain ed for a longer visit, having come for the wedding of Tina Oldaker. Hayden came again on Thursday to attend the wed ding and visit a few days be fore returning home with his family.
