Shrine Club Sets Dance The Roscburg Shrine Club will hum its annual Christmas dance Saturday night in the Gold Room of the Umpqua Hotel. The social hour will begin at o'clock. Members, their ladies and Masonic guests are cordial ly invited. A buffet supper will be served at 1:30 and Ollie Fosback and his orchestra will furnish music for dancing. Gamma lota Aids Hospital During a recent business meeting of Gamma Iota. Epsi Ion Sigma Alpha, it w as decided to send $100 to the Crippled Uuldrens Hospital in Eugene and to sponsor a child at Camp taster seal. FinaJ plans were made for the Muscular Dystrophy coffee hour. Mrs. George Castillo, who was in charge of the educational program for the evening, gave a very interesting report on mrtn advancements. Refreshments were served to Mrs. David Burks. Loomis Family Dines Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Loomis entertained relatives at a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at their home on Leland Street. Invited guests included Mr and Mrs. George Loomis, Don Loomis, Heather Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. James Loomis and children, Kathleen, Janice, Tom, David and Jeffrey. Moores Have Guests Mr. and Mrs. Dale Woodruff and children Scott, Nancy and Pam of Portland; Mr. and Mrs James Nichols and daughter, Coleen, of Corvallis, were din ner guests at the home of Mrs Archie Moore near Umpqua. They spent the night, returning to their homes on Saturday. Demonstration Given During the December meeting of Rose School PTA, James To-i fell demonstrated the use of the overhead projector. A girls trio from Fremont Junior High sang several Christ mas numbers. Santa made his appearance and led the group in carol singing. Mary Connor, and mother advisor, Mrs. Lewis Wooley, were honored at Wednesday evening's regular meeting of Oregon Chapter No. 57, O.E.S., at the Masonic temple, Canyon ville. Mrs. Malin Moore, worthy matron, and Joseph Anderson, associate patron and worthy pa tron pro-tern, presided. An addendum, featuring a pot of gold and rainbow lined rib bons to which gift packages containing rainbow charms were attached, was planned to ber by affiliation, Lois Parrott, was introduced. Mrs. Parrott now lives at Forest Glen sen ior residence. During good of the order, a brief memorial to the late President Kennedy fea tmed silent prayer and a talk by Joseph Anderson. Mrs. Lawrence Michaels was reported improving from a re cent illness and a past matron of Oregon Chapter, Florence Smith, was reported convalesc ing from recent surgery. Mr. and Mrs.- Delbert Robbms of Drain, a forner mother advisor and Rainbow Dad from Alas ka, who call themselves "The Travellin' Robbins" were intro duced. The chapter's newest mcm- the dining room. At the . next meeting of the chapter, a Christmas party willl be held with a gift exchange Church Rites Unite Couple Baskets of white pom pom mums with white baby mums flanked the altar at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and formed an attractive setting for the mar riage of Marian Louise Stampka and Howard Craig Hamilton which was held Saturday, Nov. 23. Father Eunan Buckley per formed the double ring cere mony at 2 o'clock in the after noon in the presence of 60 friends of the couple. Tradition al wedding music was played by Mrs. Robert Fabian. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stampka and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. 11. Hamil ton, all of Roseburg. They wore willow and emerald green gowns, street length sheaths, fashioned with scoop .necklines and elbow length sleeves. They wore headdresses styled to match the dresses and satin shoes to match. They carried cascade bouquets of while spider mums and wore pearl teardrop our rings, a gift from the bride. Walker1 will celebrate their golden wed ding Sunday at the First Bap list Church in Roseburg. The cake was served by Mrs. Clares Flaherty, aunt of the bride. Punch was served by Mrs. Clyde Lloyd. Aunt of the bride, .Mrs. C. E. Flaherty served coffee. The silver serv ice used was a wedding gift from the Bridegroom's grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hamilton, of Sequini, Wash. Charlcne and Jcannctte Fla herty, cousins of the bride, ar ranged the gifts. Miss Karel Sherwood presented the guest book. .Miss Kay Hahorty, cou sin of the bride, distributed the green and white net rice pack cts. The bride's mother wore i beige champagne brocade dress with black accessories and pink carnation corsage. T h c bridegroom's mother chose a turquoise, toast and white floral print jersey dress with match ing accessories and a white carnation corsage. The bride's grandmother wore a black jack et dress with raspberry acces sorics and a pink carnation cor sage. For something old the bride wore a cameo brooch belong ing to the bridegroom's grand mother. For something new she wore a tiny silver cross pend ant, a gift from the bride g-'oom. FRANK TALBOT, supreme worthy president of the Social Order of the Beauceant, will pay.cn official visit to Roseburg Assembly No. 223 , Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. Talbot assumed leadership of the order ct the Supreme Assembly held in September in Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. Talbot, as supreme vice president, was the constituting officer in organizing Roscburg Assembly. A reception in the Masonic dining room will follow Mrs. Talbot's visit. Umpqua Couple Hosts ' At Sunday Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Leonard entertained on Sunday with a lovely dinner party at their home on Millwood Drive.
