Chairman Sidney B. Lewis said the new schedule, effective July 1, would replace one published last month in anticipation of passage of the new compensation bill. That measure would nave raised benefits to workers, and likewise employers' premiums on July 1. Lewis said the new sclico tile was based on the one cur rently In operation, but is changed slightly by a new experience rating system which takes into consideration safety records of in dividual employers. 1 1 CLARENCE BAKKEN, right, Glide High School graduating senior and valedictorian, receives from Richard Davis, local Shell Oil Co. representative, a Shell merit scholarship, which he will use next school year in attending Oregon State University. He will major in physics. The amount of scholarship is based on need, ond varies with the recipient, but usuclly guarantees college financial coverage. Bakken was one of only 150 such recipients in the nation. The award is for students training to teach science.
