Proceeds from this year's af fair will go to the local scholar ship fund. - Winners of the recent health and safety poster contest have been announced as follows: Interme diate Division, fourth through sixth grade, Bobby Adams, first; Teresa Bird, second, and David Sikstrom, third. In the Drlmary division, Lydla Cantrell won first for the first through the third grade section; Julia Wilson, second, and Dawn Frost, third. TED PETERSON Mr. and Mrs. J. Kearby Masters, Winston-Dillard residents, have ;old their home and acreage in Winston Section to Mr. and Mrs. Rnlnh l.vneh of Baker. The Masters plan to vacate their property by May 1 and visit a month with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs, George W. Bacher, and son, Bryce, in Grants Pass. The group is sponsored by the Roseburg Rod and Gun Club. The three eighth grade rooms at Douglas High School are plan ning an end-of-the-year picnic for May 28 at Umpqua Park. Bert Laurance, Douglas County treasurer, spent several days last week at the University of Oregon attending the Oregon Finance Assn.'s annual school. Mrs. Robert Adams was absent last week from her teaching posi tion at DUlard Elementary School.
