Mrs. Kugene (Shirley) Slanton of Portland, was matron of honor of her sister, and Jean Toevcs, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. C. C. (Cecilia) Broome, Walla Walla, Wash.; Aileen Palo, Myrtle Creek; Jane Geil, Snlem, and Kathryn Johnson of the Philip pines all sorority sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids, and jun ior bridesmaid was 8 -year-old Me lissa Bradford of Portland. Given in marriage by her broth er, Bill Chasteen, the bride was beautiful in a flnorlenglh white wedding gown of net over satin fashioned with a low neckline, net jacket with long sleeves pointed at the wrists, and an Elizabethan col lar. Her full-length veil fell from a crown and she carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations cen tered by three pale pink orchids. Mrs. Helen Vanslyke of Dolores. Colo., was matron of honor for her lister, and Carol Lee, Kathy Boo ney, Arlene llorton and Judy llor ton were bridesmaids. They wore pastel gowns of pink, vcllow, coral. 1 pale blue and pastel green and carried bouquets of carnations in shades to blend with their gowns. Pamela Vanslyke of Delores, Colo , niece of the bride, was flow er girl and wore a pale blue dress. Hon i arter was ring bearer. Warren Chasteen was bet man and ushers were Thomas Bentlev Don Thronhurg, Harold llorton and lhomas Kimball, all of Koseburg. Preceding Hie traditional wedding march, Kirk Winck sang, "Al ways" and during the ceremony sang, "the lord's Prayer." Mrs. Frank Poole was organist. The bride's mother wore I pink and white dress with small white hat and white accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a blue silk dress with white hat and white accessories. Both mothers wore wnite carnation corsages. A reception followed in the church parlors. Mrs. Gene ( has-1 teen and .Mrs. Warren Chasteen! cut the cake. Hansen, Salem, step father of the bridegroom, was ties'. man and Larry Hail, Joe Medley, cousin of the bridegroom; his brother - in - law, Eugene Slan ton; Garvin I.ovejoy, a fraternity brother, all of Portland, and Hugh Adams of St. Helens, were ushers. Kor her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Johnson chose an aqua lace gown with matching gloves and hat and the bridegroom's mother wore a mauve pink lace and crystellctle gown. McClean, pastor of the church. assisted at the double ring can dlelight ceremony which took place at 7:30 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Skuce of 3432 Lakeshore. Chaplain and Mrs. N. Charles Wallin of Roseburg are the parents of the bridegroom. Organist for the ceremony was Andrew Baker. The soloist was Ben Jones who sant "0 Perfect Love" and "Our Wedding Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown of white silk organza fashioned with a bodice of rose point lace. Long sleeves extended to points at the wrists. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. A jeweled headpiece held her fin gertip veil. She carried a cascade arrange ment of stephannlis and pink roses surrounded bv lilies of the vallcv. Bates, son of Mrs. Ruby Beasley of Lookingglass. The Rev. Karl Faulkner officiated in the presence of 60 guests. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a mini green summer suit with white silk blouse and white accessories. She carried a white Bible with a spray of pink carnations. Maid of honor was Miss Gwen Kingley of Glide and Judy Riley, also of Glide, was bridesmaid. They wore summer suits with white accessories and carried cor sages of pink carnalions. Lawrence Schultz was best man and the ushers were Larry Jones, brother of the bride and Bill Me loy. both of Glide. The mother of the bride wore a blue and white silk dress with white accessories; the bride groom's mother wore a blue sum mer suit, also with white acces sories. ' A reception given by the par ents of the bride followed the cere mony in the church parlors which were decorated with bouquets of mock orange and rhododendrons. The bride groom's mother chose a beige en semble with pink accessories. Both mothers had corsages of yellow sweetheart roses. For a trip to California, the bride chose a beige fitted suit with brown accessories. The bride has been employed by radio station WSCO since her grad uation from Sault High School. Her husband, a graduate of Santa Mon ic City College and the University of California School, is presently serving with the U.S. Air Force. The couple will be at home to friends jn Pacific Palisades, Calif., after Aug. 1. Guests from out of town were Dr. Esther Wallin of Cleveland. Freeta Moore Now Mrs. James Colrrin Mrs. Freeta Moore of Oakland and James Coltnn of Camas al ley were married Mav 29 at the Camas Valley Methodist Church. Mrs. Bonald Copcland, daughter of Ihe bride, was matron of honor and Ronald Copcland was best man. A reception was held at the church for family members. After a trip to Ihe roast the newlyweds will make their home in Oakland.
