ROSE PARADE ON TV Television station KPIC-TV, Roseburg, announced today that the Portland Rose Festival Parade will be telecast at 9:45 a.m. Satur day. Aaron Boe, station manager, said the parade would be carried to its conclusion and would result in cancellation of the usual base ball telecast for this week. C0EN SUPPLY CO Flood & Mill OR 3-4461 Judge East Frees Man Of Conspiracy Charge PORTLAND (AP) Federal Dis trict Judge William East overrode a jury's verdict Wednesday and freed a San Francisco man of a mail fraud conspiracy charge. Herbert Has, one of nine per sons indicted on conspiracy charges, was the onlv one to be convicted of the count recently His attorney argued that it takes two to conspire and there fore Haas could not be convicted. The judge agreed. Fivo of the men were convicted, however, of mail fraud in connec tion with the sale of dealerships in specialty items such as battery additives. The five are Harding L. Cacy, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Bart Grant, I.os Angeles, Daniel W Campbell, San Francisco; and Sherwin J. Shoen and Clarence Peddicord, both of Portland.
