Toiletry Items Make 'Scents1 For Her Gifts Toiletries for the modern wom an are both a necessity and a lux ury. She requires them to add to her total loveliness . . . and when she uses them, she feels utterly feminine and deliciously luxur ious! Toiletries are increasing in pop ularity as gifts, especially at Christmas, for that reason. When in doubt as to the suitability of a practical or simply lovely gift, toiletries are right! This year, even the little girls can begin to enjoy their own toi letries. Several manufacturers are offering a complete line of toilet ries for young moppets. These items are boxed for extra attraction including cutout dolls, toys, charms for" bracelets and the like. For the early cosmetic stage, there are now many shades, all soft and proper, that will please the tastes of both mother and daughter. Lipsticks for women, besides of fering a multitude of exquisite shades, appear encased in ele gant tubes. These range in price from a little above the usual cost of the lipstick to practically un limited figures! Perfume, cologne, all the liquid toiletries pour from bottles that even look expensive when empty. They are jeweled, gilded, shaped and bcribboned. Boxes for these items, as well as powders, bubble bath crea tions, soaps, make-up bases, nail polishes, and all the rest are most exciting, too. Sets embracing the same fra grance of various types of toilet ries make perfect gifts, as well. And, as with the individual items, these are often available in special Christmas packages or can be purchased in their year 'round setting. "Extras" are included with many of the grown-up selections, too, though of course, much more sophisticated in nature than lliuse of the little gals! Delicate to see (but sturdy) "premiums" such as powder mitts with dusting powder enhance the gift of toiletries. Luxury does begin to overshad ow necessity in such items as 18 Karat gold-plated hair brushes. But it should "last a lifetime." A gift of toiletries is always suit able for every age in any price. There are many wonderful. spcciol-for-Christmas items, too. '?V''-- I Flowers 'grow' on you in this delightful, delicately tailored blouse. The soft wing coller is completely reversible.
