Thia week will tee the final games in practically all leagues. One exception is the Citv League, which will have another match next Monday night. Nor are we certain about the "Country League," having failed to check their schedule. SO WHILE the league champi onships will be decided this week, there is still one more important date. Each league will get their "PAY-OKF" one week after their final games. Each captain should most assuredly be present on pay off night, and try to have hi team present too, so that the swag can be divided equally. Also, on "Pay-off night'we have our "sweepstakes." For the benefit of many new bowlers, this means everybody who wants to can enter in the sweepstakes, which is simply an individual series in which you pay a bit extra to make up a prize fund, which is paid off the same night. It's a singles event, every dog for himself, lots of fun, and a chance to win a couple bucks or lose a few dimes. Also, we have found from a few of the new bowlers that they don't evea know that they get any mon ey It a thisaway. You have been paying $2. (most of you) each night. S1.35 goes to tha house, and the balance into a prize and ex pense fund. Every point your team won is good for from a dollar to a dollar-two-bits, which should be di vided among the team members according to the number of games in which they paid that S3 00. So this pay-off night is the only time the secretary is ever popular. HIGH GAME last week was a fancy 254 fashioned by Lee Sla dig in the Metro. Lee made the wife happy by winning a set of Riversides too, as she has been warning him for weeks to replace i those old tires. Lee also cleaned up1 on most of the special prizes in his league by adding this to hit previous winnings.
