CLAUDE DAUCHERTYS GIVEN LOVELY PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Claude Daugherty, who adopted a baby boy recently, were the inspiration for a pink and blue shower given by their friends at the Yoncalla Trap and Gun Club north of town Wednesday after noon. Mrs. Wheaton, Mrs. Crawford and Mrs. Sail will attend the three-day state PTA convention that begins April 9 at Pendleton. Mrs. c.d cadman gave an interesting talk about the NEA who was celebrating its 100th an- niversary at the L'mpqua Hotel the same evening. Mr.. Glen Schroeder . second grade room won the room count and a cash prize for the most par ents in attendance at the meeting. Miss Aud Hovik from Norway, an exchange student attending the university, gave a very interesting talk about her country. Miss Ho vik, who is specializing in speech therapy, will return to Norway after one year of college here. She was given a study grant by the American Woman's llub of Oslo. Vnrath.
