Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harry
O'Neil hosted two of the foreign
exchange students who were among
a group visiting Koseburg Tues
day. They were Hung Kyu Bang,
a political icience major from Ko
rea and Te-Tse Chang, a physics
major from China.
Among students home from col
lege for spring vacation are Sandra
Humphreys, Sandra Bushey and
Marlene Emmitt from University
of Oregon and Joanie Kruse from
Cascade College.
Bruce and Peggy O'Neil, chil
dren of Mr. and Mrt. K. H. O'Neil,
went to Seattle by plane where
they tpent a week visiting during
spring vacauun, i ucjr wcic uivuku,
home by their grandmother, Mrs.
James Steele, and aunt, Mrs.
William Ogilvie of Renton, Wash
ington, and her ton, who hat just
received hit discharge after three
years service with the U. S. Ma
rines and duty at Okinawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Murphy
and Debby and Margo tpent last
week on vacation. They went to
Keno for one day and then to Oak
land, California to visit friends.
They vhuted Murnhy't sister and
family in Hayward, Calif., and in
San Francisco they toured the zoo
and visited Chinatown.
Joe King, who has been residing
with Mr, and Mra. Wallace Cox
has returned to the home of his
parents in Remote.
Don Kruse accompanied by his
son, Jeff, took a load of hay to
Kentuck Inlet on the coast Tues
day. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Cox left
Monday night for Portland to
spend a couple of days on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baird have
returned to their home on Curry
Road after being away for three
weeks on vacation. In Areata. Cal
ifornia they visited their daughter,
Mra. David Dcl'ew and family.
They vacationed at Phoenix, Mesa
and Preacott, Arizona. They saw
the Grand Canyon and Temple
Square In Salt Lake City. They vis
ited former Melrose residents, Mr.
and Mrs. David Thompson at
( reswoll. Idaho. They came home
through Vale which was recently a
flooded area.
Mr. and Mrs. Hal Jale and three
children of Oakhriue left last Wed
nesday after visiting here for a
few days st the home of Mrs. Jnte's
farenls, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Dixon,
rom here they went to Portland
where the former attended the
OKA convention. Mrs. Jole and
children visited In Forest Grove
with her sister-in-law. Thev re
turned to the Dixon home to spend
Hie weekend. Their oldest daugh
ter, Kalhy, who has spent the past
three weeks here with her grand
parenta remained for a few more
days.
