W John Kucera, 84-year-old farmer, laid a claim Saturday to being the U.S. father with the most sons. He has 13 sons. This u one more than Henry Harmon Tygart, Tulsa floral de livery man who was honored a week ago by the National Fath er's Day Committee as the father with the most sons. Tygart has three and nucera nas iour. . All of Tygart's children are liv ing. So are Kucera s. But Tygart has one thing that Kucera lias lost. He has Airs. Tygart. Then 17 babies in 20 years. Kucera said he didn't know any one was looking for the father with the most sons or he might have "entered myself." He lives alone in Linwood while two of his sons run the home farm of BOO acres. All his other children live in Nebraska towns with the excep tion ot Albin who if at Seattle, Wash. Tanner drove to Bend to spend Mother's Day weekend at the home of their son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Nash lund, and family. Back From Idaho Harlan Kline, Mrs. Sue Blair, Mrs. Rich ard Mendenhall, Terry Blair and Judy Kline have returned to Rose burg following a trip to Idaho to at tend the funeral of Mrs. Harlan Kline's mother. The latter, who has been in Idaho for the past two weeks, will return to Roseburg tomorrow. Back From Trip Mr. and Mrs. Ben Blythe will return home to night following a visit Sunday in Klamath Falls with their son, Tom, who is associated with the J. J Newberry Store in that eity. Leaving Klamath Falls, they drove to Medford where Ben Blythe re ceived a medical examination. Thornton Advises Wait On Lane Co. Investigation SALEM (B Atty. Gen. Robert Y. Thornton advised Gov. Elmo Smith Friday against enlarging the' scope of the Lane County in vestigation until the state Supreme Court decides whether the county's new grand jury was, chosen properly. After the Eugene Register Guard published an open letter asking the governor to broaden the investigation to include Dist. Atty. Eugene Venn's charges that the jury was chosen illegally. Gov. Smith asked Thornton for the opinion, which Thornton gave Friday. The original investigation cen ters on charges that funds of Moses Moody, a prison inmate, were embezzled.
