School board Tuesday to select possible sites for the proposed new elementary school building. By erma best Riddle High School will hold its annual Homecoming festivities Oct. 29. Candidates for homecom ing queen are Nancy Myers, Dorla Huffman and Paula Smith, who wiU each pick an escort and also a committee to help sell tickets to the Homecoming game that aft ernoon against Yoncalla. Tickets sold before the day of the game will each count points for the con testing princesses. A noise parade will be held through the streets with the queen leading the procession before the game. The queen will be crowned at the dance that nighf. The Can yonville community orchestra will play for the Homecoming dance and all graduates of the past few comprehensive for the parents and will enable them to better under stand the student's progress. years are Invited to attend, but the school must have their names submitted beforehand, Atynd Celebration Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stuart at tended a 40th wedding anniversary and open house at Springfield last Sunday. Mr. and I'ra. A. J. Bier of Springfield were the celebrating couple and Stuart and his father, Hugh Stuart, of Sheridan, were the only persons present last Sun day who had attended the wed ding in Kansas on Oct. 14, 1914. The open house was held at the home of the Bier's only daughter, Mrs. Raymond Sears. The Sears have just-recently completed their new home in Springfield and thus combined the reception for her parents with their own open house. Over 70 guests were served during the afternoon.
