APPLEOATE CLAM " MEETS AT DRAIN ' A large number of descendants of the late Charles, Jesse and Linsey Applegate met for a pot luck dinner and a day of visiting recently. This is an annual affair and was held at Drain. Richard. Applegate, who is a prisoner of the Chinese Commu- ' nists, formerly attended these gatherings. His father, Frank Ap plegate of Medford, and sisters, Miss Ella Applegate and Mrs. Thomas Barry oj Astoria, were present.
