MEETS AT DRAIN
' A large number of descendants
of the late Charles, Jesse and
Linsey Applegate met for a pot
luck dinner and a day of visiting
recently. This is an annual affair
and was held at Drain.
Richard. Applegate, who is a
prisoner of the Chinese Commu-
' nists, formerly attended these
gatherings. His father, Frank Ap
plegate of Medford, and sisters,
Miss Ella Applegate and Mrs.
Thomas Barry oj Astoria, were

era festival, bhe has mastered
more than 15 operatic roles. -
In "Don Giovanni," Mozart's
musical tale. of legendary lover
Don Juan, Miss Faull will co-star
with baritone Jerome Hines as
Giovanni 'and basso-buffo Salva
tore Baccalonl as Leporello. Tic
