Even a short one is good especially if it's served in your very prettiest glass a hollow-stemmed, cham pagne glass for instance. Here are three ideas for refreshing sum a party cooling as a breeze right off the ocean. Set your table to match the mood if you decide on Peach Su preme a few rosy-tinged peaches nestling on glossy green leaves will be centerpiece enough. If Cherry Frappe is your choice, then let Cherry Ripe be your theme with clusters of the lovely-rich-hued fruit to adorn your setting. Or perhaps Grape Freeze is your favorite. Thread the luscious pur ple beauties on a glimmering, transparant straw and let the modest little, white grape be the coolest of decoration. Any one you choose it's good it's delicious. Does more or you than quench your thirst. It delights the eye and helps take the beat out of July. When H comes to preparing your drinks, you'll take your fresh-frozen juices right out of the freezing compartment of your re frigerator. When you store them properly, they'll do right by you giving you all the full flavor and vitamin value of the fresh fruit. A blender is a help for mixing your drinks but a rotary beater will do nicely. PEACH SUPREME 1 can (12 oz) fresh-frozen orange juice 3 cans water 1 pint peach ice cream 1 cup milk oCid -Abroad Bh WILTON WYNN BAGHDAD, Iraq Ml In the days when Scheherazade related the fabulous tales of the Thousand and One Nights, Baghdad was a syn onym for romance and gaiety. To day the traveler's first impression of Baghdad is a filthy, dusty city, hot in summer and too cold for comfort in winter. The Caliph's days are recalled mainly by the fact that Baghdad's main street is named Harun Al Rashid. But the street itself is a sad sight. Flanked by rows of ugly arcades painted a sickly blue, it runs along the Tigris between rows of ramshackle buildings. The struc tures are old but not antique, un comfrotable but not quaint. Even the flies can't stand the Baghdad summers. As spring fades away, the heat kills them. The real "hot spell" here falls in late Jury and August, when tem peratures soar to 120 for as much as two weeks at a time. Older inhabitants go underground during the day and come out at night. At night, they carry beds to the rooftops where the family sleeps. To see something of the almost hidden charm of modern Bagh dad, it is necessary to get away from Harun Al Rashid Street In either the very new or the very old sections of town. Looking back from the new sec tion to the old city, you can get a glimpse of the glory that Bagh dad once knew. Because the unsta ble ground forbids buildings of more than two or three stories, the skyline is dominated by the domes and minarets of many Persian type mosques. Returning to the old city along the Tigris, you can get a good look at the way ancient Baghdad bought and sold in the colorful and noisy bazaar district. Like most oriental market places, Baghdad's bazaar is a labrvrinlh of narrow covered streets. Lone Civil War Survivor Sees Bust Given City DULUTH. Minn.
