Miss Gladys Ward, herself a missionary for many years, will speak this Sunday morning, Nov. 23, at the North Roseburg Church, Evangelical United Breth ren, on conditions behind the Bamboo Curtain." The service is at 11 o'clock. After 28 years in that land of "strange customs and ancestor worship," Miss Ward has been described as "truly more Chinese than American." For a number of years she served as DrinciDal of the Evangelical United Breth ren Girls' Siminary at Siu Laam. AQS A PART of her work, she fre quently conducted groups of na tive uninese on tours ot evangel ism in remote villages.
