They drove to Portland to visit Mr. and Mrs. Al Pierce. From there the Lockwoods and Pierces drove to Seattle where they board ed the Princess Patricia and sail ed for Victoria B. C. They visited Thunderbird Park and saw the many totem poles and saw Indian girls and men carving a totem pole from a cedar log. They boarded the Princess Nan aimo, sailing to Vancouver B.C. on the mainland. She later contract ed pneumonia. Her condition is reported to be critical. Mrs. Ston er, 82 years of age is a long' time resident of tbe Dillard-Tenmile community. She is the mother of Mrs. Lee Barnes and Mrs. Les ter Baldwin of Dillard. Breaks Arm Mrs. R. B. Harryman fell break ing her right arm last Tuesday at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harryman, on Kent Creek. Mrs. William Bales of Salem is visiting at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Remington, and daughter, Linda. She plans to return to Sa lem in company with her daugh ter and family over the weekend. Mrs. Ellen Remington of Marys ville, Calif., has been the guest of her two sons, Mr. and Mrs, Lloyde Remington and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Remington, for the past two weeks. She will return to Marysville and later return to Dil lard for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Cross of Medford were guests the past weekend of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Laurance. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hult made the trip to Berkeley, Calif., by plane on Friday in company with Loyd Milne and Bert Orcut. They visited their son Barton Hult at the San Rafael Military Academy and together they all attended the California-Missouri football gam returning to Dillard Sunday. Mrs. L. A. First Hunting Casualty Reported From Condon CONDON Wl Ralph Morton, Condon service station operator, was wounded in the first accident of the 1952 deer hunting teasen re- 1 ported in this eastern Oregon area. Morton, who was riding a white, horse and wearing a red bat while hunting in Lost Valley, miles southeast of here, was taken to a hospital at Heppner. Investigating authorities said he was wounded by a bullet accident ally discharged by Ralph Kaeney, another Condon hunter who was a member of another party.
