Riddle History Slated For Broadcast Soon Soon to be broadcast over radio station KRXL is a program de voted to the history of Riddlt and surrounding community. This Is a continuation of the half-hour histories, usually heard on alternate Sunday afternoons, and designed to eventually cover the entire county during the cen tennial year. Rebroadcast of all the programs is scheduled for the near future. Upon completion of the Riddle story, work will get underway on the history of Myrtle Creek. Those wishing to contribute material on the founding of the town and its century of growth are asked to contact the script writer, Mrs. George Bacher whose telephone number is 9-8843. Cecil Lease of Til ler have returned from Detroit, Mich., with tha new school bus to be used for the Tiller District. Lease will drive the bus and has been engaged as janitor for the school for the coming year, which starts Sept. 2. Berry Crop Light The many persons who have vis ited tha berry patch near Huckle berry Lake report the crop very light and scattering. The road is in good condition. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Penncll have moved from Milo into one of the houses at the Southern Ore gon Sugar Pine mill where the former is a sawyer. Mrs. Emmitt Belcher, local 4 H Club leader, spent Thursday and Friday at the County Fair in Rose burg. She took in the exhibits and helped to arrange them. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Croy and family are enjoying a vacation in Yellowstone National Park. Mr. and Mrs. John Biss have purchased the William Mathews property and are planning to move there soon.
