The girls, all residents of Glide, left last Friday after noon. - l The members of the Waditaka Camp Fire Group of Glide went to Toketee Falls for an overnight trip.' The girls left immediately after school last Friday and reach ed Eagle Point around dusk. After dinner, talking and singing were enjoyed about the camp fire. The following morning, the group awakened, had breakfast and went to Slide Creek Camp where Judy Campbell, a Camp Fire girl friend, joined them. They then went through Fish Creek Desert to with in fifteen miles of Diamond Lake and had supper. Mrs. Ruby Weaver, leader, cha peroned the group. Her husband, Mcrt Weaver, chauffeurred. The members of the group include Al bina Hopper, Linda Moore. Juanita Cole, Alton Ramsey, Judy Camp bell. Donna Herriges, Patty Harris and Jeanette Perry. SUTHERLIN REBEKAHS HOLD RECENT SESSION ' Sutherlin Rebekah Lodge 218 met Thursday evening with Mag gie Francis, noble grand, and Dor is Steinbach, vice-Grand, presid ing. Roll call found all officers and 20 past-noble-grands present. . Mrs. Eunice Ha slam was elect ed to receive the Rebekah degree. Five names were presented and voted upon for the Rebekah's rep resentative for the Timber Days celebration. Margaret R o 8 e , daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Noah Rose Jr., was elected. Juanita Holgate, Doris Stein bach, and Merideth Pond were ap pointed to take care of the Rebek ah queen candidate and see that her costume is purchased. Hazel Green gave an interesting report on the Degree of Chivalry she received recently at the Re bekah Assembly of Oregon at Sa lem. Erma Vandenberg and Grace i erlln Rebekah Lodge, gave their reports, which were very Interest ing and instructive. Mary Barker, who received an appointment on the Thcta Rho Board of Control, stated that this year would be the first time the girls had held an assembly. Mrs, Wood and Mrs. Vandenburg presented the lodge with i beauti ful plate of white trimmed in gold, representing the Centennial Chemeketa Lodge No. 1, at Sa lem, which was organized in 1852. It was voted to buy something that was needed for the Theta Rho Girls assembly. Olga Bielman was appointed purchaser. Thursday, June 19, initiation will be held. All members are urged to attend.
