Mrs. D. H. Clare of Eugene vis ited recently at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Clare of Glendale. Mrs. Fern Little and Mrs. C. Bell went to Medford last week for a visit with Mrs. Bell's son, who is convalescing from a leg injury at Sacred Heart Hospital. William Scheetz is visiting friends on Cow Creek and plans to purchase a ranch in the area. Schutz formerly operated the ranch adjoining the Devil Flats Ranger Station. DRIVER TESTS THURSDAY Examinations for Oregon driv er's license will be held Thursday, Jlay 15 at 343 N. Main Street, ac cording to an announcement from the Secretary of State's office. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To avoid a minimum of delay in processing of licenses or permits, applicants are urged to contact the examiner at the earliest posible time. The Shoemakers also have a son Steven. Mr. Shoemak er is a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Shoemaker and Mrs. Shoemaker, nee Jean Wiley, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wiley of this city. Mr. Shoemaker is attending the university at Madison, where he is also serving a professorship. Back From Lakeview Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Elliott and daugh ter, Patricia, and son, Arthur Lo gan, have returned to their home in Laurelwood, following a visit since Friday in Lakeview with the Elliotts' son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oden Jr., and small son, Earl Bruce.
