Creswell took over the boards immediately and used the advant age for an 11-8 first quarter lead. By halftime, the Bulldogs had a 10-point bulge, 25-15. and the sit uation was getting desperate when the hosts continued a hefty 34-21 lead by the third break. But the Elks met the challenge with a pressing defense and ball control in the final period to com pletely blank the Bulldogs. In the meantime, they rang up 12 tallies to cinch the victory. Hope, Crosby Consider Entry In Golf Tourney HOLLYWOOD OB Some of the British columnists may not care to see Bob Hope and Bing Crosby to gether on an English golf course. But Bob says he's going to enter the British amateur again this year, and that he and Bing might do some wagering over there. Hope said he and Bing will take on any two British entertainers at golf for any side bet they want ''and they can have Lloyds of Lon don on their side." Crosby is going to England again this summer but he hasn't decided whether he'll compete in the Brit ish amateur. ' . Some of the British writers criti cized Bob and Bing for clowning on the golf eourses. Both are four handicap golfers. Crosby played in the 1950 British amateur and Hope in the 1951.
