Mildred Gardner pre sented all of her officers with beautiful white emblematic leather ritual covers This was her last meeting for her term as Noble Grand and many nice comments were extended to her for her successful reign. There were 59 members and two visitors present. Ollie Krucger was elected staff cap tain. The charter was draped for Nora Kohlhagen and Mary Wood Volunteers were asked to help with the X-ray units coming to Roseburg Jan. 26. This is the second building to be added to the church's holdings within a year. On July 1, 1951, a new rectory house was dedi cated. Jennie Midland, membership chairman, reports the membership is growing but that the unit still lacks a few of meeting the quota for January. Radio chairman, Rose Dauber, reports the American Legion and Auxiliary radio programs have been changed to a new time of i p.m. Saturdays. Letha Garey, Volunteer Hospital worker, reports that from gifts do nated to the Veterans Hospital 500 gifts were mailed to Veterans fumilies. Thanks lo all making this possible. Mabel Laurie was named as the new Sewing chairman for the unit. And the next evening sewing meet ing meets at the home of Mrs. Edith Marshall, 464 S. Jackson, Friday, Jan. 25. June Roberts was appointed new colorbearer. She replaces Letha Miller, who has moved away. Edith Marshall and Viola Bates attended the X-Ray program meet ing of Dec. 10. They represented the American Legion Auxiliary. Members of the Auxiliary have volunteered to help serve as host esses for the X-Kay units wnue they are in Roseburg. ANNUAL MEETING OF FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH GUILD HELD THURSDAY The annual meeting of the Wo men s Guild of Faith Lutheran Church was held at the church Thursday evening with Mrs. Willis Lrickson and Mrs. Wendall band all co-hostesses. Rev. Willis F. Erickson presented both the devotions and program which gave the theme for the coming year, "Forward in Faith".
