CARL SCHMIDT Mr. and Mrs. clem Schneider, and son, Marvin, and Adam Schneider of Roseburg left Dec. 23 for Kirkland, Wash., to spend the Christmas season. They will have a family reunion with Clem Schneider's brothers, Harry and Carl, and their families. Adam Schneider is the father of three boys. This is the first time in 13 years that the family has been united. Mrs. Anna Lilly of Portland re turned Saturday after spending the Christmas season at the O. F. Michel home in Garden Valley. Mrs. Lilly is Mr. Michel's sister. Christmas guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. McKay were Mr and Mrs. Everett Phillips and Margaret Kllen of Seattle, who brought with them Mr. and Mrs. George Phillips of Eugene. Mrs. Mary McKay and Anna Mc Cullock of Wilbur were dinner guests Christmas day. Mrs. Mary McKay, C. D. McKay's mother has been ill the last tow days. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Smith and Floyd Smith were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. McKay on Dec. 27. THELMA HANSON Mrs. Clara Evans was called to the home of her father, Mr. Mur phy, of Los Angeles, when he suf fered from a heart attack last week. Mr, and Mrs. Morris Durch spent the Christmas holidays with Mr. Durch's brother and sister inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Durch of Portland. Lee Brown and daughter, Sally, went to Oregon State college at Corvallis Thursday, to get a pig which Sally will have for a 4-H project this year. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Shopp and children, Teddy and Ardith of Newport spent Friday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hnlmquist and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. John son. Mr and Mrs. George Pankey are moving to the Pankey place in Elgarose. NAMED TO HONOR ROLL Miss Wanda F. Fruits of Rose burg, who ended her course of study at Oregon College of Edu cation, Monmouth, in December, was named to the honor roll.
