In a circular to law enforce ment officers, the FBI described Heroux as armed and "consid ered extremely dangerous." Heroux If wanted for the rob bery of the South Side Bank of Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 10, 1951, and the robbery of the Johnson County Bank, Prairie V Ulage, Kan., Nov. 23. The Kansas City robbery net ted $4,641 in currency. The Prairie Village loot included $62,000 in currency, checks and bonds. The FBI gave this summary of Heroux'a background: He quit school in early 1946 after attending grade school in Woon sockett, R. I., and high school there and at Worcester, Mass. He joined the army at Boston in April, 1949, and was sent to Germany. Convicted of unlawful possession of ration cards, cigaret coupons and an unregistered weapon, he was discharged March 8, 1950 "under conditions other than honorable." In August, 1951, he was placed on probation in Milwaukee for two years for unlawful interstate transportation of firearms. H e also took part in an attempted jail break there. German Spy For Russia Receives Prison Term NUERNBERG, Germany VP) Herbert Schulz, a German con struction engineer, was sentenced to four years in prison here for spying for the Soviet union. Schulz admitted before a U. S. high commission court that he regularly supplied Soviet intelli gence in East Berlin with infor mation on U. S. army installa tions in West Germany. He said he had been hired as a spy while he was still a pris oner of war in Soviet Russia. He said he had felt it would be dan gerous to refuse to work for the Auto Storage Batteries Under Federal Ruling WASHINGTON VP) The government has ruled that only automobile storage batteries with life expectancies of at least 18 months can be manufactured after next March 1. In an order designed to con serve critical supplies of lead, the National Production authority also prooiDited the output of so called de luxe batteries with a high ampere-hour rating. The order will affect storage batteries for passenger automo biles, light trucks and light trac tors. Dial 3-554 Less fork, More Beef Forecast For Next Year WASHINGTON VP) The Agriculture department forecasts a nine percent reduction in the 1952 spring pig crop, indicating that pork supplies will be much smaller next tall and winter. Beef aupplies, on the otherhand, are expected to be larger. next year. The prospective cut in the num ber of piga reflects a tightening feed grain supply situation which has forced corn prices up to a point where many farmers are unable to make money on hog raising. The department said the spring crop ia expected to be about 56V4 miUion head compared with 61,857,000 last spring and 55,407, 000 for the 10 year (1940-49) aver age.
