Education Bill Veterans of World War II plan ning G.I. bill education and train inii are remindefi by the Veterans administration that the July 25, 1951. cut-off date for starting courses is only seven months away. I his coming spring scnool term will be the final sujrh term most veterans may enter or re enter be fore the deadline, the VA said, so if they plan to enroll it's not too early to start making arrange ments now. The 1951 deadline applies to most World War 11 veterans those discharged from service before July 25, 1947. Those rtischartert after that date have four years from their discharge in which to begin. Veteiana actually must have commenced their training by the cutoff dale if they want to con tinue afterwards, the VA said. A veteran must be in training on that date unless he has temporarily in terrupted his course for summer vacation or for other reasons be yond his control. Special consideration will b e given to four categories of veteran-trainees who, for reasons be yond their control, either may not be able to resume their training by July 25, 1951, or may not be in a position to remain in con tinuous training afterwards. The categories are (1) veterans who have started U. I. Bill studies an interrupt them to go back into active military or naval service; (2) veterans who completed pre medical and pie-drn'al G.I. bill schooling and can't get into a med ical or denial school by deadline time; IS) teachers who spend their summers taking training leading to a degree, and (4) those who complete G. I. bill undergraduate courses and intend to go . ahead with graduate training which would start alter the deadline date. Full information on G. I. bill education and training may be ob tained from any VA office. Yoncalla By MRS. GEORGE EDES Mr. and Mrs. Everett Curtis and son, Edwin, motored to Reedsport over the weekend.
