I ROSEBURG S 1 I CERTIFIED WATCHMAKER I ' imi ' . . . love the old banjo clock that grandma chose from her heirloom treasures to tfve ns for a wedding Rift, but what shall I do with It?" Use it for a starting point In your decorative scheme. Let it set the mood for your living room. Build a color symphony of Ivory, tan and brown picked up from the old clock's mellowed tones, to play up the satiny smooth finish of your new maple furniture. In the room sketched above e banjo clock dominates the simple mantle wall which has been painted rich sandalwood brown to contrast with old ivory on other walls and celling. The en tire room Is enlivened by the full-hanging floral draperies with shades of brown and gold Btis gling with hyacinth bine on ivory background. Blue I sofa (color picked np from drapery print) mixes smoothly with backgronnel and Is completely at borne with friendly maple chairs, tables and chest. End tables have drawer!? for storing cards, tobacco, gameo and cigarettes. Here is a young room where en old clock ties the past to the pres ent, blends with the beauty ot the maple furnishings and prom ises to live happily ever after.
