Marlen Yoder, "Y" secretry, ex plained that it would not be called Day-Camp ' this year as the pro-1 gram is really mote of a exercise, i fun, and excursion type of affair. Yoder added that last year the boys took excursions through the fire hail, Coca-Coia Bottling Co. plant, Umpqua Dairy and the News - Review. Afterwards they went to Umpqua park and played different types of games. They were told some stories by different pastors in Hoseburg, also. This year Yoder said croquet would be played and probably a tournament would be held. Several other new activities will also be started. In this activity the boys usually meet at 9:30 a.m. and re turn about 3-30 p.m. Lunches are taken, and Yoder said more cook ing could be done this year due to the addition of stoves at Umpqua park. All boys interested in taking part in some of these activities are urged to be at that meeting next Tuesday. As an added interest, Yoder said there would be a prize given to the boy that suggests the name to call this activity this summer. Coast schools, fcverest said, will have no truck with the three-yeir rule. The visiting Browns rapped out an 11 -B win over Mcdford to main tain its one game advantage over Klamath Falls, which defeated the home Eugene nine 7-4. But what Willows inflicted on Pittsburg or Pittsburg inflicted on itself was the Far West league story. Willows wor. 37-4 with Pittsburg pitcher Boh Falizzato handing out IS walks.
