Matthews Beats Flood At Seattle SEATTLE. March it VP) Unbothered by a 18 pound weight disadvantage, Harry (The Kid) Matthews pounded out a clear cut decision list night over Jack Flood. Both battlers are from Seat tle. It was a different Matthews from the jabbing, dancing middleweight who wae the scourge of his divi sion here before departing east ward last year. Now nursing heavyweight ambi tions, though weighing but 178, Matthews opened with a rush. He ended the bout with eight rounds. UP) A legislative auditor or a legislative council to keep a constant check on state spending was advocated Monday by members of the legis lature's committee te study reor ganisation of the state government Robert R.
