Champion has become one ot the most famous stars of the Hollywood scene in the past several years. His intelligence and his ability to follow movie-shooting instructions to the letter have re sulted in his being co-starred in many top-flight western films. In his Mutual-Don Lee network series, Champion will be pictured as the King of the Wild Horses who has been made the 'pet of a young boy named Ricky. The boy, his uncle, Smoky, his dog, Blaze, and his horse, Champion, live on a ranch. Tonight at 7:30 the famous American painter, Oliver Smith, chooses as his "Favorite Story" Jane Austin's "Pride and Prejudice," her comedy of first -Impressions dealing with the flaws In all of us. "John Steele, Adventurer," Is the 10 to 10:30 p. m. time period mystery shot The story of the old west is the story of the railroad. It was at the time when opposition was the fiercest from those who felt that the railroad threatened their Interests, and "The Cisco Kid" answers the call for assistance during the story of "The Cisco Kid and the Iron Goes West" on tomorrow night's program at 7:30. Scholarships for five Oregon girls were announced yesterday as approximately. 200 delegates gathered for the meeting. Merldith Rae Goodrich, Baker, received the $450 Veda Jones scholarship to Cotter Junior Col lege.
