A new series ot children's adventure dramas, this time concern
ing the wonder horse, Champion, made its debut on KRNR Mon
day In the 5:30 p. m. time period as a Monday through Friday fea
ture. Champion has become one ot the most famous stars of the
Hollywood scene in the past several years. His intelligence and his
ability to follow movie-shooting instructions to the letter have re
sulted in his being co-starred in many top-flight western films. In
his Mutual-Don Lee network series, Champion will be pictured as
the King of the Wild Horses who has been made the 'pet of a young
boy named Ricky. The boy, his uncle, Smoky, his dog, Blaze, and
his horse, Champion, live on a ranch.
Tonight at 7:30 the famous American painter, Oliver
Smith, chooses as his "Favorite Story" Jane Austin's "Pride
and Prejudice," her comedy of first -Impressions dealing
with the flaws In all of us. "John Steele, Adventurer," Is
the 10 to 10:30 p. m. time period mystery shot
The story of the old west is the story of the railroad. It was
at the time when opposition was the fiercest from those who felt
that the railroad threatened their Interests, and "The Cisco Kid"
answers the call for assistance during the story of "The Cisco Kid and
the Iron Goes West" on tomorrow night's program at 7:30.
Hundreds of children received Tom Mix mementoes fol
lowing last Saturday's big Rodeo parade . . . and a tired
KRNR staff went to bed that night to dream of myriads,
of TM-Bar arm patches, cattle brands, badges and book
lets. An almost similar Incident has taken place at Mutual
Don Lee In Hollywood. With the announcement that "Hopa
long Cassldy" would debut on the network June 23 (S p. m.),
a number of top executives have gone Into hiding. They've
been besieged by the kiddies at home for all sorts of "Hop
py" mementoes!

To Rescue Cloth Lamb
FLINT. Mich.. June 21.-W)
Bongo, a ringtailed monkey, is a

When a second floor fire broke

Bongo was rescued by his mater.
But he wouldn't stay rescued, Pot
vin said.
As soon as he was free outside,
Bongo dashed back Into the house.
Polvin, though clearly outdis

met Bongo sliding down the balus
