N., herself a native of Peiping. and daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert B. Whitaker, Congre gational Christian missionaries in Tientsin. The couple are re-establishing a mission hospital at Shaowu. Pr. Riggs is the son. grandson and great grandson of mission aries in the Near fclast and lived in Turkey as a boy. His wife's great grandfather, Peer Guliek. from 1S28 to 1KT)7. had an obscure ruial parish in Hawaii and his children and grandchildren carried on the mis sionary tradition in Spain. Japan, China and the South Seas. Edu cated at Willamette Cniversity, she has relatives in San Francisco, Corvallis and Sacramento, Calif.
