Mrs. A. R. Anglin was installed as commander at the dinner which was attended by over CO mem bers of the Dean Perrine chap ter, No. 9, D.A.V. and auxiliary. Assisting Mrs. Anglin during the coming term of office will be Mrs. C. C. Hoover, senior vice commander and Mrs. Cath erine Milligan, junior vice com mander; Mrs. Martha wells, ad tutant. Mrs. Rov Young, treasur er; Mrs. Hugh Harrison, histor ian; Mrs. Irvin bhort, sergeant at arms: Mrs. Art Newell, con ductor; Mrs. Cheek, patriotic in structor and Mrs. Mildred White chaplain. MILLARD MANNING HOME SCENE OF SISTERS' REUNION The Millard Manning home In West Melrose was the scene of a reunion last week of three sis ters who had not been together for the oast 40 years. Visiting here were Mrs. Frank Jackson of Delhi, Iowa and Mrs. Bertha McBride of McCook, Nebr. sisters of Mrs. Millard Manning of this community. A family dinner was held at the Manning home last week at which time 20 members of the clan enjoyed an evening of visit ing and music. Later in the week the sisters motored to Reedsport where they visited their brother, L. S. Holtzman. Mrs. Man line Is well-known in this community where she has resided with her husband for the past 20 years. Mrs. Frank Jack son is active in civic affairs in Delhi, where she resides. CHRISTMAS MEETING PLANNED BY CLUB Woman's club Christmas meet ing will be held at the Armory Tuesday afternoon, Dec, 16, at 1:30 oclock. Members are re quested to bring cash donations to supply "care" packages. The program Is In charge of Mrs. L. F. Neilsen and Mrs. Roy Hanford, who will present the lyric group of the club. . Christmas carols will be featured and Mrs. Steph en Bistran will present the pro logue and origin of carols. WHERE DOES THE CROWD GO Saturday Nite ? -TO- GUARDIANS ASSOCIATION HOLDS DECEMBER MEETING AT FRED HARCIS HOME Mrs. Fred Hargis and Mrs. Luther Ellison were hostesses to the Camp Fire Guardians Asso ciation Monday evening at the Hargis home. Mrs. M. D. Cyrus, vice president, presided during the business meeting when it was decided that Camp Fire Girls will Christmas carol in various parts of the city during Christ mas weM. The Woman's club Arts and Crafts display, to be held in Jan uary, was announced and Camp Fire and Bluebird handwork will be included. Mrs. Clifford Smith will be hostess at the January meeting assisted bv Mrs. Walter L. Weber. At this time new offic ers will be elected. It was an nounced that the folk dancing classes held each Tuesday at the I. O. O. F. hall under the direc tion of Mrs. Paul Jenkins, have been postponed until the first of the year. Turkey din ner was served, followed by elec tion of officers and a Christmas program. A lighted tree, Christ mas ball and red tapers formed a holiday motif for the affair. WOMANS CLUB MEETING TO BE HELO TUESDAY The Roseburg Woman's Club Christmas meeting to be held at the Armory Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock promises to be one of the outstanding social events of the coming week. Tea will be served at the close of the afternoon by the committee in charge. Special Christmas music Is planned bv Mrs. L. F.
