Eighteen girls attended and were given transportation to and Irom the rink and treats during the evening. This group is spon sored by Lady Lions. QUEEN TO VISIT BADOURA CLUB Beatrice H. King, Portland, Queen of Nydia Temple, will nay her official visit to Kadoura Club, Daughters of the Nile Thursday evening, May 22, at a five-thirty p'cloek dinner at Turn-Around Inn. Mrs. King will be accom panied to Roseburg by her of ficers and also by Mrs. Bierd, superintendent of the Shrine Hos pital in Portland, who will show motion pictures c;i tlie Shrine Hospital. Following t'.ie dinner, the group will pa to the A. F. Micelli home on ihr Melrose road for the pictures and a .social hour. All Badoura Club mumbers are urged to attend. MR. AND MRS. LOOMIS ENTERTAIN ON SUNDAY WILBUR Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Loomls and son. Ralph. Jr., hon ored both their mothers, Mrs. Vernon LaKaut and Mrs. ueorge Loomis, at a family reunion Sun- nay at their home on the oarden Valley road. Those present were Jimmy and Verna Lee LaRaut. TO HOLD HOMECOMING FRIDAY Florence Nightlnuale Tent, No. 15, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War will hold a home cdming affair Friday night, May 23, at seven-thirty o'clock at the K. of P. hall. Dames i Noblo FAREWELL AFFAIR GIVEN TEACHERS SUTHERLIN Friday evening, May 16lh, the faculty of the Sulherlin public schools gave a delightful potluck dinner and eve ning's entertainment and games in honor of Ivan C. Parker, super intendent; Mrs. Hazel Davis, Mrs. Elsie Spackman and Mrs. Clara Trozelle who are leaving the Su theiiin school faculty at the close of the present year. The dinner was served from a long, lace-covered, beautifully decorated table buffet style. The guests were seated at card tables after recognizing them selves in the handpainted por traits on small mirrors. Much talent was discovered although many of the guests had some trouble in finding their proper places. Following the dinner a game of "TrUih and Consequences" was enjoyed. The contestants wn the retiring members of jie faculty. Gilts were presented at the end of the contest. Station ery and a handkerchief were given to the teachers and a life time desk set by Shaeffer with a gold plate inscribed "Sutherlin Co-workers" for Mr. Parker. The rest of the evening was spent in playing court whist with Mr. Kabler receiving the high score prize. The Arts Buliding was very at tractively decorated with flowers. Those enjoying the evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Ivan C. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Kabler, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett, Mr. and Mrs. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Bixlcr, Mrs. Wimberly, Miss Amorde, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Spack man, Miss Urban, Mrs. Trozelle, Mrs. Malhewman, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Hens ley (cafeteria head) and Mr. Durr (building supervisor). bone-Brake family enjoys reunion The entire family of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Bonebrake were present at a family reunion at the family home at Melrose, Sunday, May 11. After a delicious dinner, the group motored to the summit of the coast range mountains and en joyed a wonderful view of Rose burg and the Umpqua Valley.
