Thir teen officers answered roll-cull. The following candidates were balloted on and declared elected: Eva A. Taylor, Stewart E. Taylor, Frank A. Smith. Katherine Ja coby Cory, unafilliated member, and Bessie Smith, re instatement. Frank A. Smith received the first and second dcerce obliga tion and the third and fourth lc gree initiation was conferred up on ten members from Melrose Grange and two from Evergreen Grange. The Hume Economics chair man, Margaret Aydelott, an nounced a meeting of the club for May 13 at the home of Marty Cring with Irene Busenbark as Joint hostess. She reported on a tamale supper to be held April 19 at the hall from 6:30 to 8:30. The public is invited. A motion was made and car rled for Melrose Grange to enter the pest hunt contest and the Grange was divided into two teams. The losing team will sponsor a ' feed" for the winning team at the close of the contest. The worthy lecturer announced the next meeting lor May 6 with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Matthews an'l Mr. and Mrs. Herman Aydelott in charge of the program. Re freshments will be served. Four visitors from Evergreen Grange were present. Refresh ments were served. CAMP FIRE GUARDIANS HOLD INTERESTING MEETING THURSDAY Roseburg Camp Fire Guardians discussed plans to hold a Play Day in June for all Camp Fire Girls in Roseburg and vicinity, when they met Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Robert Adams, 1034 Hamilton street. I The Play Day will be managed J in a similar manner to flhlctic i play days but will be based on the seven crafts of t lie Camp Fire or- ganintion. Each guardian will tie . in charge of a era It and work out a method of "play" for this por-; tion of the program. Discussion also was held on sending several loc:il guardians to Portland during June to at-; tend a training course to be held at Camp Namanu for three days. Scvoral group guardians paid dues for their girls and suggested thai sponsors oiler a iree camp- ship to Camp Kilowatt for a 1 member from each sponsored group. Later a social hour followed. Attending were Mrs. Sidney Do menlco president of the Guardian'- -Association, Mrs. M. D. Cy rus, Mrs. W. H. Allen and the hostess. Mr::.
