H. P. Sconce, pastor of the First Baptist Church, per formed the nuptials in the pres ence of twenty-four relatives and close friends. The Improvised altar was ar ranged with lare baskets of gladioli and white candelabra holding tall white cathedral candles. Preceding the ceremony. Miss Sue Hahn sane. "Always." ac companied by her sister, Miss Betty Hahn. The latter played The Bridal Chorus from Lohen grin for the bridal party to enter the living room. The bride was charming in a suit of oyster white with white accessories. She carried a prayer book toopcd by a large orchid tied with a shower of satin rib bons. Pearson won the han dicap cup tournament for 1946 in the final play Thursday at the club course by defeating Mrs. R. D. Bridges, who is runner-up for the cud. By winnin" the cup this ear, Mrs. fearson is allowed to :eeo ft permanently as she won it in 1944 and 1945. Mrs. Pearson defeated Mrs. Roy Cummins in a match last Friday to make her eligible to play in the finals this week with Mrs. Bridges, who is the winner of the Championship Cud for the club this year. The handicap cup is the fifth trophy award to be won by Mrs. Pear son. She was winner this spring of the 1946 Steams-Bridges troDhv. In the first flight of the handi cap tournament, Mrs. Kenneth Quine is the winner with Mrs. Marshall Pengra, runner-up. In the nine-hole tournament Mrs. Bill Courter is the winner with Mrs. Clyde Kni"ht, runner-up. Visiting From East Mrs. M. M. Buntin of Cambridge, Mass., is visiting Mrs. C H. Dunnell at Wins Trophy ; lOleyidi of honor and Marshall Matthews acted as best man to his brother. The bride's mother wore an ensemble of light blue and the bridegroom's mother wore a suit of medium blue. Both mothers wore gardenia corsages'. A wedding dinner followed at Carl's Haven, where the beauti fully decorated, three-tiered wed ding cake was cut by the bride and bridegroom. KEYSTONE CLUB HAS MEETING AND PLANS RUMMAGE SALE The Methodist Keystone Club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. R. B. Hampton with Mrs. Orville Richman and Mrs. Floyd Wilson assisting hostesses at a seven-thirty o'clock dessert-supper. Colorful autumn flowers formed the deporations. Mrs. W. A. MacArthur conduct ed the devotions and Mrs. Earl Wiley, president, had charge of the business meeting. Plans for the year-book were made and the club voted to hold a rummage sale September 27-28 from nine to five o'clock at the Methodist Church parlors. Members and friends are being solicited for do nations and may leave same at the church or articles will be call ed for by telephoning either 222-Y or 877-L. Miss Joan Stone, sister of the brideeroom, was maid of honor and was love ly in a pastel-colored suit. Richard H. Little of Hanover was best man and James Brenner and William Bowman were ushers. The bride was graduated from Roseburg Senior High School and attended Oregon State College, where she majored in home eco nomics. She is a member of one of Douglas county's early pioneer families.
