Oct Ec4M rilli. If Causes Husband To Kill His Wife SEATTLE, July 6. fAP De tective Capt. James Lawrence said Charles Ray Ross of Knox ville. Tenn., confessed he stabbed his 19-year-old bride to death here yesterday. Lawrence said Ross gave a statement that he killed his bride, Wilma Margaret Ross, because of "Insane jealousy." Ross was questioned after the woman's body was found near a railroad boxcar near the water front today. He first said four navy sailors had overpowered him and attacked his wife. "It all came up over Insane Jealousy," Lawrence quoted Ross as saying. "I had caught her step ping out several times on me be fore, and I caught her stepping out last Wednesday night. I had been good to her and she had promised to quit it." Lawrence added: "Ross said he had been talking it over with his wife Wednesday and said that the slabbing occur red after they had descended the stairs to the waterfront at the foot of Seneca street. He said he didn't remember but vaguely of the fatal blow and added: T sort of went out of my head.' " Ross and his wife were civilian employes of the Puget Sound navy yard at Iiremerton. Lawrence said Ross' parents were Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Ross of Knoxville and that the young people were married there last Fobi-uary 27 after a two-day romance. Oregon's E bond sales were still more than seven million dollars short of the $55,000,000 goal to day. Sales are now $47,583,447. On the allover total, Oregon soared ahead to $171,469,1)47 153 per cent of the quota. Tornado in Nebror.tia Kills Six, Injures 12 RISING CITY, Neb., July 5 (AP) Six persons were killed and at least 12 critically Injured by a tornado which swept a ;ath five miles long and two wide north and west of here last night.
