Where she will continue her work as she plans to make her home in Rose burg for the duration. The bride proom, who is a Yeoman 2c in the U. S. navy, enlisted in 1942 and served 18 months in Hono lulu. Mrs Bridges played the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin for the wedding partv to advance to the Improvis ed altar. : The bride, who was given by her father, was very beautiful in white afternoon di-ess of heavy white crepe, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, short sleeves and short skirt. She wore a flow. er bandeau hat with veil and her coi-sace was of orchids. Miss Betty Lou Carlson, of Portland, was maid of honor and was attractive in a oowder blue suit with a feathpr bandeau hat and veil and a corsage of yellow spray orchids. Mrs. Olsen, aunt of the bridegroom, received the guests at the door and Richard Lytle. brother of the bridegroom, and Jack Olsen, Portland, cousin of the brideizroom. were ushers. A wedding reception followed. The bride's table was covered bv an exquisite cut-work linen and lace cloth and centered with a porgeous arrangement of Easter lilies, daffodils and ferns. The beautiful tiered wedding cake was cut by the bride and groom with a knife made by the latter from parts taken from a Japanese Diane. For traveling the bride chose a brown tailored suit with white accessories and a brown fur coat. The bride was graduated from Oakland high school, after which she was employed bv the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph com panv, before goinp to Portland to work for the Willamette Iron and Steel works and latet for the Ui U. navy department. She recently resigned her place with the navy to be married. The bridegroom was a member of the 1942 class of Roseburg senior high school He enlisted in the U. S.: naw In November 1942 and wears five stars for major battles and three ribbons rem-esenting participation in the Asiatic, Solomon islands and Philippine islands campaigns.
