Industry Faces Good Year The agricultural industry of the county in general is facing a year or. prauuuaiiy iuu ijruuuu tion again, at prices still in favor able levels for the most part, though possibly with some re ductions compared with last year, according to a summary by Coun ty Agent J. Roland Parker. Trends in recent years have been for farmers tc. receive a greater portion of their income from livestock and livestock, pro ducts than from crop products. Farm marketings show approxi mately 68 per cent of the agri cultural income of the county is from dairying, meat animals, poultry aid miscellaneous animal products, while cash crops ac count for about 32 per cent against 55 per cent from animal products and 45 per cent from crops for the period of 1926-30. Paralysis Fund Drive Directors In Douglas Listed Committees for the infantile paralysis fund drive, starting to morrow in Douglas county, were named today by Roy Sunderland, chairman of the Douglas county chapter of the National Founda tion for Infantile Paralysis. The drive will be started In the vari ous churches of Roseburg by the ministers ana wm re continued until the end of January by other organizations. Outstanding in the events of the drive will be the ball at the Rose burg armory, sponsored by the Lions club and the Lariv t.lnns in honor of the President of the United States, who Is the world's most noteworthy victim of the disease.
