'FOUR Soasdy and CluhA By LOTUS KNIGHT PORTER W. S. OF C. 6. HAS INTERESTING MEETING LOOKINGGLASS The W. S. of C. S. held an interesting meeting at the home of Mrs. Wal ter Monger Wednesday. Annual reports were given. Money turned in for Christmas to be used for sending cards, etc., to boys in service, was reported on and It was stated that the boys had asked that more booklets be sent to them from time to time. It was voted to use the remaind er of the Christmas fund and any more that was turned in, for this purpose. It was decided to take up a spe cial missionary offering at the next meeting as there Is report ed to be a great need for mission aries at the present time. There have been several new missionary fields opened up since the war in Alaska, India and a number of the South Pacific islands, which have been liberated. During the social hour the group enjoyed seeing the beauti lul antiques of the hostess, which had been handed down in her family for several generations. Later Mrs. Monger served dell clous refreshments to: Mrs. Ted Hodges, Mrs. Walter Storey, Mrs. J. Gutherie, Mrs. Mary Smith, Mrs. Arthur Marsh, Mrs. Chas. niroai Mra Anrlv .Tnrnhv. Rev. The lovely 12 o'clock dinner was served cafeteria style. A large bouquet of the season's flowers was used as table deco rations. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. P. G. LOOKINGGLASS P.-T. A. TO MEET FRIDAY NIGHT The Lookingglass P.-T. A. will meet at the schoolhouse Friday, Jan. 12. After the regular busi ness meeting, the 4-H clubs will have charge of the program. The County Club Agent Kenneth Min nick will have some moving pic tures to show. After the program, the 4-H clothing clubs will sell pies to raise money for yarn for the Red Cross afghan they are matting, everyone is invueu inm everyone interested in 4-H club work, is asked to please bring a pie.
