EDWARDS During, these days of na tional emergency we are hearing much about trans forming dormant and damag ed materials for national defense. But why not declare a spiritual emergency Think of the vast latent powers of modern churchmen, that need to be transformed for Chris tian service. Feelings are hurt, faiths are confused, tal ents are misused ,timo and means are misspent and life's purposes are unrelated to the Divine will even among many churchmen. Material waste is foolish, spiritual waste is tragic. The Bible warns of the danger of wasting labor, talent, thought, character, means, devotion. If all that is now lying dormant or mis dl rooted among churchmen were harnessed for the church, Christ could trans form, the world, giving it a soul. No nation or world can live without a soul, "What is a man profited if he gain the whole world, and lost his own soul." There comes a time when a man's possession slips out of his ifingers. He comes to the end ol the day and he must leave them. "Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would t withhold,. Take my self, 1 will bo, over only all ion Thee."
