Rep. Wadsworth (R., N. Y.) and Senator Gurney (R., S. D.) introduced almost identical meas ures yesterday to provide that when a youth becomes 18, or or navy lor a training period of one year. Upon completing of training, he would for four years be in a reserve status and j subject to call for any prescribed. refresher course. The Wadsworth-Gurney propos als would become effective six months after the present war ends and would utilize present training camps. Primary System Junked By Idaho Legislature BOISE, Idaho. Feb. 12. (AP) The Idaho legislature discarded the stale's 10-year-old primary election system today, substi tuting for it the party convention system of nominating candidates for public office. ' 2-I3 Bomber Missing On Trip From Walla Walla WALLA WALLA, Feb. 12 (API No word had been re ceived early today as to the whereabouts of a heavy bomber which left the Walla Walla air Held yesterday morning on a routine flight and was reported missing at dusk last night. Reporting the craft missing, Lt. Jesse C. Beesley, public relations officer, said the ship had a full crew aboard and when last heard from was not far from Walla Walla. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12, J. R. Dodge Funeral to Be Held at Oakland Funeral services will he hyld at the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Oakland at 1 p. m. Sunday for J. R. Dodge, about 85 years of age, who died Thursday at Hub bard, Ore., wherp he resided for many years. Born in Douglas county, he we.s a member of (he family for which the Dodge can yon community was named. He was employed by the soutnern Pacific community for a number of years, but moved to Portland more than 30 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Bruce and Joe Dodge, both of Portland, and a daughter, Thelma Whalen, Hubbard. He was a brother-in-law of K. A. Kruse, Roseburg, and C. S. Henry, Oakland. The body is to bo interred lie side that of his deceased wile, the former Ethel Brock.
