Dava Taylor and Chet Herclier of Rosebarg and Ira B. Poole, of Canyonville, went to Medlord on business Tuesday. Mrs. Ruth Pardee was in Rose burg Monday. While there she visited with Mrs. Delia Boyle, who Is In a convalescent home there. Mrs. Elsie Poole has been visit- ing her children here and in Days C.-ck. She went from here Tues day to visit in Glendale a few days before going to her home in Grants Pass. -Don Devore and Hubert Garey left for Portland Saturday to join the army. They passed their ex aminations and word has been re ceived from them that they have gone to Texas. A spare tire was stolen from the car of Mrs. Bcnnetta Pickett, last week. She was visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Green at the time. , Mrs. Victor Shaw was in Rose burg on business Friday after noon. Rebekah lodge. No. 188, met Tuesday evening.
