the army. They passed their ex
aminations and word has been re
ceived from them that they have
gone to Texas.
A spare tire was stolen from
the car of Mrs. Bcnnetta Pickett,
last week. She was visiting her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Green at the time.

burg on business Friday after
noon. Rebekah lodge. No. 188, met
Tuesday evening. The following

Grace Cooper, of Eugene was the
musician for the evening. This
was the first meeting that Mrs.
Alice Green had attended for
some time. Ethel May Worthing
ton, the outgoing noble grand, re
ceived some very pretty handker
chiefs. After the business meet
ing the members and two guests
enjoyed a potluck luncheon in the
dining room.
When Bill Watklns fell from a
ladder last week he not only
broke his crippled arm, but also
fractured a rib. Ho was taken
to a doctor in Myrtle Creek Tues
