Jones, and Robert Riley have returned from a hunting trip to eastern Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. o. W. Hancock, Mrs. H. H. Heath, and Fay Smith have returned to their homes hear Salem after spending a week in Elkton. The men spent mast of their time hunting and returned with a large deer. The seniors have as their class president, .N'oel Welch; , as vice president, Bill Godwin and as secretary-treasurer, Maurice Mat thews. C. C. Hill is their class ad visor. The juniors have as their president Margie Wright while John Wright is vice-president; Violette Goin, secretary, and Mel vin Welch, treasurer; Mrs. Guy McGce being their advisor. The sophomores have chosen Gloria Rust as president, Noryal Fer guson as vice-president, Zclma Davis as secretary and Roy Brat ton as treasurer, with Miss Mar jorie Church as advisor. In the freshman class Marshall Mat thews Is president, Maxine Wright vice-president, Mildred Prause secretary, and Robert Wright, treasurer. ODDITIES Self-Respect NEW YORK - Seventy-year-old Morris Rudin, told by two ban dits to put his hands up, obliged by knocking one of the men on his ear after taking his gun. Although the bandit retrieved his weapon and beat Rudin on the head, the aged storekeeper stubbornly fought back until the two men fled his l:noicum shop empty-handed. "It wasn t tne money I was fighting for it was m' self-respect," explained Rudin to police. No Vocation WABASH, Ind. - School chil dren all over Indiana started a two-day vacation today because of teachers' convention in Indianap olis. But eight boys in, Lincolnville high school didn't. School officials said they'd damaged the building and grounds in prc-Hallowe'en pranks and ordered them to put in the two days making repairs. Double Stymie NEW YORK Two automobiles collided on the 155th street via duct. The drivers climbed out, argued heatedly for a few minutes, then walked away Irom the scene.
