Shaw of Canyon ville has been promoted to sec ond lieutenant and assigned to duty with Company M of the 162nd infantry, according to word received here. He has serv ed for a number of years with Co. D, 162nd infantry, the Rose burg national guard company, and held the rank of sergeant.
