Yesterday came the real test when Cooper was sent out against the Cincinnati Reds and pitched and batted the Cardinals to a 3-2 11-lnning victory that put St. UjuIs in front of the idle Brook lyn Dodgers again by Just a shade. The Cards have a half game lead but their percentage advantage is only .6412 to .6436. Holding used cars for higher prices, as so many dealers arc now said to be do ing, is gambling, pure and simple and, at the public's expense. There is every indication that those who hold them will gel higher prices for them. Prices have gone up, and the trend is still higher. We think that holding used cars is in flationary. We're against such a policy. The foundation of our business is new cars and this community has given us record new-car sales this year. We will not now gamble in used cars, at the expense of the public who have given us one of the best years in our history, So our used cars are priced downivard, for immediate clearance. On our lot, now to an even great er extent than in recent months you will find "buys" substantially un der the market. We invite you to come in and look them over. FRED B.
