At the same time Knox reveal ed that arrangements had bin made for China to obtain 100 American made war planes or dered in this country by Groat Britain but not yet delivered. Knox said the Chinese govern ment had asked for 500 planes to use In her war with Japan. Un der the arrangements fina'dv worked out the British agreed to accept the deferred deliveries for 100. Knox reported that the planes offered to Greece were now as signed to the ali;craft carrier Wasp. He described them as single- motor craft and "good for fight ing as well as training." I would take them quickly, he commented. He did not say how old they were.
