Melrose YCA held their meeting at grange hall March 27. During the busi ness meet in gthe president, Floyd Kelt, said the home economics club asked to meet lth the YCiA Saturday afternoon for the purpose of beautifying the grange grounds. They plan to plant shrubs the fith of April. The YGA plans a parly for the caHt of "Here Comes Charlie." It will be held at the home of Jewell Green. Games will be played and refreshments will he served. The oratorical contest on "How We Can Promote Highway Safety" was discussed and the young peo ple were urged to take part. The YGA will start practicing their drills soon. John Trozelle was nppointed captain. May Taylor and Amy Kruse were appointed on tho committee for new costumes. Tho VGA has rebuilt the stage at the grange hall am, the grange lias built a new kitchen. Plans were discussed for an ama teur program. Anyone with talent and wishing to appear on the pro gram is cordially invited. It will he public. The date for the program will he announced later. After the meeting was closed games were played and refreshments were served. The Ten mile Cnmmunfiy club met Wednes day afternoon at two o'clock at the homo of Mrs. Minnie Lock wood. There was no business meeting due to (he absence of the, presi dent, Mrs. II ilia Hahn, as she was called to Grants Pass due to the illness of a daughter, Mrs. Ada Abbott. The pleasant afternoon hours were spent in doing fancy work nnd visiting.
