Nearly 90 boys and girts turned out .Monday lor Ibe fir.it day of organized playground activity un der tho direction of Jim Watia and four assistants at Finlay licld, des pite cold and threatening weather. With fair and warmer weather lore cast, a future daily turnout of more than 200 is expected, .supervised playground activity is held each day from 9 a. m. to 5 p. in. ou tho senior high school grounds. More Ball Players Needed More midget and Intermediate cIhrk IihII olavers are needed, ac cording to Mr. Watts. Teams will he drawn and games played as noon as the organization of the groups can be completed. No teams have been picked and any boy turning out regularly will be given an equal chance to make one of the several teams. The American Legion junior baseball team is working out daily Trom 2 to 4 and Is rapidly rounding into shape. The inabil ity of a number of the squad to turn out regularly has resulted in much sloppy field work lu the last two games. Coach Watts hopes to remedy this defect before the reg ular season gets under way. The squad has shown plenty of hfttlng power and the mound start is slow ly rounding into shape, but this good work has been nullified by many j:!-xcusable errors in the Held .
