Vaccinations for smallpox. Immunizations ag&Uist diphtheria, and tuberculin tests and tests for susceptibility to diphtheria will be given at this time. With the beginning of the school year it is recommended that children not previously im munized and especially those starting to school for the first time should do at once. Now the child is changed from a relative ly isolated life to be massed with others In a schoolroom and Is ex posed to contagion. Colds are more common because of this herding together and likewise the dangor of the more serious conta- glous diseases is increased so that every possible precaution that Is known should be utilized In D re vealing these diseases. One of tne counties adjacent to Douglas county has a few cases of diph theria at present and with mod em methods of travel, it Is easy for this disease to enter our county.
